How to grow Ash Gourd
Ash gourd requires a long, warm growing season of 90-120 days and performs best in tropical to subtropical climates. Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost date, or direct sow after soil temperatures reach 70°F. Plant seeds 1 inch deep in mounds or hills spaced 6-8 feet apart, placing 3-4 seeds per hill and thinning to the 2 strongest seedlings.
