How to grow Tangerine

Tangerines require full sun and warm conditions in USDA zones 9 through 11. Plant grafted nursery trees in spring, spacing them 10 to 15 feet apart for standard varieties or 6 to 8 feet for dwarf forms. Dig the planting hole twice the width of the root ball and set the graft union three inches above the soil line. Water deeply at planting and twice weekly for the first year.
