How to grow Spruce Tree
Spruces are cool-climate evergreens that perform best in USDA zones 2 to 7, struggling in hot, humid summers. Plant balled-and-burlapped trees in spring or early fall in full sun with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space large species 20 to 30 feet apart for screening.

Growing Tips
